​In recent decades, there has been intense research interest in the role of foreign languages ​​in international business. This is normal, considering the fact that, although business has always been to some extent extroverted and internationally oriented, the globalization we have been experiencing since the end of the 20th century has brought new challenges for business, including "language challenges". Globalization has affected communication throughout the world, making it easier and faster.

This in article of mine in Greek, on the blog of the Panhellenic Association of Professional Translators Graduates of the Ionian University (PEEMPIP). The gist of it is that we never get bored, since we have to research and study everytime we have to do a challenging translation, we need to be in constact communication with our clients for clarifications and specs, and that we actually need to "dive in" when it comes to our specialization, because we have to be experts in our field of translation so as to provide accurate translations.

​In December 2019, I had the pleasure of interpreting for a corporate event, which included games, motivational speeches and other activities. My clients were the company’s Chairman of the BoD and the CEO, who did not speak Greek, but they had to take part in the event’s activities. So, I followed them throughout the games and activities and managed to get them involved in playing, bonding with employees and following the motivational speeches addressed to the executives and employees.
During these speeches, suddenly, the famous Greek superstar, Sakis Rouvas, emerged on stage and started greeting everyone. He also gave a keynote speech about how we can overcome our comfort zone and fulfill our duties to our maximum potential. At the end of the event, he was open to selfies, so I couldn’t resist the temptation and had a selfie with the most famous Greek singer* of the 90’s.

During the International Book Fair of Thessaloniki 2017, I had the honor of interpreting the famous French writer, Pascal Bruckner, during his interview to the Greek Broadcasting Company (ERT). The interview was live on the radio, and I facilitated the interview so that everyone listening at the time could understand the writer’s message.
